April 15 has been declared as a Public and Bank Holiday in view of the National New Year that falls on Monday April 14, the Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs said today.

Secretary to the Ministry P.B. Abeykone said the decision was taken as the New Year celebrations fell during the weekend this time.

Private sector employees pay the most amount of income tax, gains more revenue than any other sector and still no holidays for them. Only the morons who do nothing (government sector) gets a extra day off ..
