Arrested for flying drones in Colombo

Five Chinese national and a Sri Lankan were arrested when they flew a remote controlled quad copter drone with a camera near Colombo Fort yesterday, Police said.

When arrested the individuals said they were unaware permission was needed to fly a drone within the city, Police said. However, the necessary paperwork was presented to the police upon their release.

Well hat the fuss about these flying toys. Yes the ignorant Chinese would have been playing with these. Any idiot who wants to get pictures of any part of the country could get them from google through any PC or a smart phone. The Chinese were fools to play with this type of toys. Sri Lankans are greater fools to act in this manner. The SILLY statement that come proves that SIHALAYA MODAYA KAUNKANNA YODAYA.

True. but we have to think about the national security and privacy on people as well. there should be a some sort of regulations on usage of technology as well. Other countries do have them.

Allowing drones is dangerous. This technology can be used as weapons in high security areas. It is best to disallow this immediately.

When the world accepts these, we are still way back with the use of technology. These technolgy is used during emergency suituations. Also used to Capture Great Images. I must say that the government shud introduce laws to protect use but within limits of privacy.

Forget flying drone in china. Try landing at any smaller air ports in China with a Sri Lankan passport. The air port authority will be in total panic how did this black skin alien landed here.
