Australia were 16 for no loss at lunch, on the fourth day of the third and final test against Australia, with a deficit of 141.

Shortly before lunch, Angelo Mathews scored his first test century, as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 473 -- an addition of 45 to their overnight score.  

Mathews' 256 balls century however, looked uncertain after he started running out of partners. Overnight partner Shaminda Eranga was the first batsman to be dismissed for the day as he was bowled by Peter Siddle for 12. Rangana Herath was then out leg-before to the same bowler for 3.

Chanaka Welegedera, the number 10 batsman, was then run out when Mathews initially called him, and then sent him back, with Welegedera already at the non-strikers end, leaving keeper Brad Haddin to simply knocked the bails off.

Mathews then attempted to get to his century, protecting the last batsman Suranga Lakmal from strike, and after a few overs of plodding, lashed out at Peter Siddle to score his first international century with a boundary to long on. (SMD)
