Badulla PS Chairman arrested
The Chairman of the Badulla Pradeshiya Sabha was arrested by the police today over an alleged assault on a woman in the area.
She lodged a complaint with the police accusing that the Chairman, a member of the ruling United National Peoples Alliance (UPFA) had stormed into her house last night with a group of men.
He was produced in courts and was released on bail, police media spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said. (SD)
