A body of a person belived to be an Indian fisherman was washed ashore on the south beach of Mannar, the Police said.

A group of local fishermen who found the body on the beach reported it to the Navy in the vicinity. Upon being informed by the Navy, the police visited the scene and are conducting further investigations.
