President Mahinda Rajapaksa told the UN Millennium Development Goal session a while ago that he hoped to develop the country with Buddhist values forming its social foundation, presidential sources in New York told Daily Mirror.

I hope the Hon. President can do something about animal sacrificing which needs to be stopped and also the inhuman way animals are slaughtered. If he is a true Buddhist as he says and wants to make SL a country with Buddhist values then it is high time he does this.

The value of buddhism is its correct and ardent practice. Buddhism in Sri Lanka is more rituals than the actual practice.

Concepts like "forget the past ", "develop the Country with Buddhist values " are very good ideas to anyone. But the need of the hour is, give a practicle example by stopping the humilation and harrasment against SF.
