I have a BSc. MSc, MBA, MFE also MCIM, MBCS, MACS, CISSP, CISA and CISM. Yet i was offered only Rs. 6000 at the beginning of my career. Just don't always compare your self with others. You sounds very pathetic trying to relate you salary with known fathers and uncles. You need to grow up man...

In a PLC Non executive director does not have executive power, but he should be a respectable and experienced person, to advice and guide the Executive Directors.

congrats Chatura !! However, keep in the mind, if this trend(where country's top positions are filled by the influence of people and not by the merits of an individual) continues further, sri lanka will continue to lose many highly exert skills produced from the free education system and only political henchmen will run with no direction what so ever. pls take this political message in good faith.

Apoi, there are much more talented and qualified people within companies and they are cold-shouldered because they have very little political connections or have their own opinion about matters.. Nothing great here with this new recruit. Politicks as ususal. Move on.

In previous years these kind of positions were offered to people who have years of experience and vast educational and professional background. Not for freshers with bachelors and training experience or political henchmen. Now the things have changed in this country even in the private sector. Only the influenced people get opportunities, not the well educated or the experienced professionals. Shame!!

The Governor of the Central Bank has followed the principle of the Hon. C J and hope your son is not behave like Mr. Pradeep Kariyawasam. Any way we are not sure someone has an idea to impeach you too ? So tell your son that spies are mounted there.

Nepotism is rife in this part of the world. Whilst of this calibre suspend their conscience until they fill their coffers there will come a day in their lives where the bearings and seals suspending this conscience would wear out. Hope they realize then that their achievements are not genuine but a mere result of nepotism and the poverty of this country where some can take advantage of the imbalances level playing field and succeed . The point that must never be forgotten is that if the whole country had a fair and equal education system where the whole population can fairly compete will Cabral be the best man for the job? The answer would definitely be a No.
So enjoy the spoils but I doubt it will make u happy and content.

There is an old Indian run Company tying to be the agents of a good product but giving lousy service. The sonny boys there treat their workers like chattle, and siphon the money to overseas accounts. Wish they were taken over by such new comers.

Did Nivad Cabral come to this position because of his father's influence? We should not under estimate people's talents, just because of his or her parents' position. "It is only WHAT is correct and WHAT is wrong, and not WHO is correct and not WHO is wrong"
