CBK backing UNFGG-Arjuna
Ex-president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, in a show of support for the United National Party-led United Front for Good Governance (UNFGG) visited the campaign office of Gampaha district candidate Arjuna Ranatunga this morning.
“This election is a political tussle between good people and bad people. It means it is a tussle between the UNP and the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA). Ms. Kumaratunga has always sided with good people. She played the key role in electing President Maitripala Sirisena to office. She remains with the government, advocating principles of good governance. We have her blessings,” Mr. Ranatunga said after he met Ms. Bandaranaike at the campaign office.
