Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga is in the Spanish capital, Madrid for the 27th meeting of the Club de Madrid’s Board of Directors, her office said.

Club de Madrid is the world’s largest forum of former democratic Presidents and Prime Ministers and this year’s meeting will be held April 6 and 7.
The members are invited by the Club to work with various governments and organizations in search of effective methods to provide technical advice and recommendations to transitional nations to help them move closer to a democratic way of life.
