Countries like China love stooge countries like Sri Lanka. Today SL cannot forment foreign policy and is a pariah in the first world. This status is capitalized by China. China (and China) also play games in Burma. Today Sri Lanka is like the "hora ganee" for these countries, simply taking what they give, listening to what they say and telling her problems to them.

China dictates and we humbly obey. We call it `bilateral talks ` to save position in Sri Lanka.

Could MR put a word in for the Dalai Lama and all the poor Tibetans who are being abused and deprived & denied their civil rights? Of course he will not even mention the Dalai Lama or Tibet to the Chinese authorities.

Why should MR represent Tibet? Is Dalai Lama a friend of SL? Tibet is better with China than it is with cunning nations!

Is this talk to sell the country to China?
BTW Sri Lankans know a little bout China. If they know the real truth of the Chinese villager's life and why every Chinese wants to migrate to a Western country, they will not even look at the direction f China.

Could be also discussing human rights. Both countries are great campaigners for human rights.
