Chinese national arrested in raid

A Chinese national was arrested by the police for possessing 90,400 drams of locally made illicit brewery (Kassippu) in the Santhuvar area in Pussellawa. The Pussellawa police conducted the raid on the hideout that was used to produce the illicit alcohol in large scale.

The suspect is married to a Sinhalese woman. The police also found 10 feet long copper wires and four 45 gallon barrels. The police team carried out the raid after a complaint was received from public about the long running illegal business.

The police are now conducting investigations to arrest the associates of the suspect. (Supun Dias)

All this time, Chinese were interested in grabbing jobs in construction sites from our people but now they seem to be encroaching in to our "traditinal cottage industries" too!

Why not? In many civilised countries, their are areas predominantty occupied by different ethnic groups with names such as China Town, Souk, Little India, Rambla etc...this effect gives credibility to the democratic system of such countries. In SL, we view these in suspicion due to our ingrained racism.
