CSK, RR suspended from IPL for two years



Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals have been suspended from the Indian Premier League for two years with regards to the spot-fixing scandal, the Justice Lodha panel said in its verdict on Tuesday.

Reading out the quantum of punishment after completing the probe into the IPL betting and spot-fixing scandal of 2013, RM Lodha, the former chief justice of India, also announced the suspension for life from all cricket of Gurunath Meiyappan, the former team principal of Chennai Super Kings, and Raj Kundra, co-owner of Rajasthan Royals, for indulging in betting and bringing the game into disrepute.(Wisden India)
