CWC to contest from UPFA

Ceylon Workers Congress General Secretary Arumugam Thondaman today signed the nomination papers to contest the forthcoming General election. The CWC will contest the election from the United People's Freedom Party (UPFA).

Muttu Sivalingam and Anusha Sivaraja of the CWC also signed their nomination papers.

From the time of Arumugam Thondaman, who caused great losses to the nation by (1) forcing the JRJ government to compel the good administration of the (then) Plantation Corporation and JEDB to give in to most unreasonable demands, (2) never paying millions of dollars owing to Srilankan and Airlanka from Indian franchisees, and many other most unreasonable acts, caused long-term problems to Sri Lanka. It is the hope of many that this grandson and his bad contributions will end for good.
