Decision on bus fare hike

Whether to increase the bus fares due to the recent fuel hikes will be decided in the coming two weeks after the necessary data is collected, Minister of Private Transport Services, R.M.C.B. Ratnayake said.
The Minister added that the National Transport Commission is currently collecting the necessary data for the formula for the bus fare revision.
Further, amendments to the National Transport Act are also scheduled within the next three weeks. (OJ)
