A group of 30 Sri Lankan men arrived at the Bandaranaike International Air Port, Katunayake, this morning, after being sent back home from Christmas Island, Australia, official sources said.

The Australian government sent this group of men, who are residents of Galle, Matara and Hambantota, back to Sri Lanka on a charter flight that left from Christmas Island yesterday. (Deepa Adikari)

Is it not the shame of Sri Lanka that virtually everyone of its inhabitants (including those in high places with Green Cards, etc) feel that greater fairness, justice, human dignity and opportunities for advancement, exist in a foreign climes, as third class citizens of those countries?
