Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Anura Wijesuriya was arrested today on charges of assaulting a 23-year-old volley ball player during a tournament held at the Deraniyagala PS sports complex last night, police said.
The suspect is to be produced in the Avissawella Magistrate’s Court today.
