Devinuwara PS Opp.leader sacked

Devinuwara Pradesiya Sabah Opposition Leader Thusahara Wijesuriya has today received a letter dismissing him from his post.

Mr. Wijesuriyais said to have participated in the October 5 protest march against UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe at Matara.

“Yes I took a prominent part at the rally and that is the reason why they sacked me, I did this for the sake of the people and the people are with me. I am still a member of the Urban Council and I don’t need positions to serve the people,” he told Daily Mirror Online.

UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said the disciplinary committee took the decision to sack Mr. Wijesuriya from the post of opposition leader. He said the party was considering whether he should be removed from the Devinuwara Pradesiya Sabah as well. (Sanath Desmond)

Tissa should be sacked first.....RW cant gulp that there is a force that doesnt like him which is the larger public, than his cronies in the working committee who nod to anything RW proposes. the WC doesnt have a backbone.....shame on you fellows who are helping to destroy this great party through this spineless so called leader.....

You cant be i the party whilst openly critical of the party leader. Either You adhere to party rules & regulations or quit. You cannot have the cake and eat it at the same time.
