Dilan to meet Rizana’s former employer

The Sri Lankan delegation led by Minister Dilan Perera now in Saudi Arabia is expected to meet the victim’s father Naif Jiziyan Khalaf Al-Otaibi and his wife soon after Ramazan regarding the release of Lankan house maid Rizana Nafeek.

The Saudi Arabian based Arab Newspaper said that the visiting Sri Lankan delegation held discussions with authorities to see if a pardon could be worked out for Nafeek with the concerned parents.

The Sri Lankan delegation headed by the Foreign Employment Promotions Minister Dilan Perera and the Chairman of the Foreign Employment Bureau Kingsley Ranawake, explored opportunities for a negotiated pardon for Rizana Nafeek. (B.M. Murshideen)

THIS is a holy month for muslims all over the world and more concern is shown during this period and pardon this innocent girl is much reward by the almighty GOD.No in this world commit mistake purposely mistakes are done by unaware.If the parents of the child give forgiveness ,God will reward them in abundantly.This girl went to saudi because of poverty ,she was in idea to look after her family but everything went in other way.

Why do you Sri lankans always criticize the effort of the minister. He has gone there for a good purpose. I think his meeting with the parenst would deffinetely help them to come out of the issue as soon as possible

Minister Dilan really working hard to for good future, also very active. as we know he had many meeting with Dubai, Qatar, and KSA labor authorities to get more employment to Sri Lankan- he is succeeded. Good luck.
