Diplomatic Missions briefed

Defence Ministry Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Tuesday evening briefed Diplomatic Missions, United Nations and its specialized agencies accredited to Sri Lanka, on the steps taken by the Defence Ministry to rehabilitate LTTE suspects.

The defence ministry said that “Mr. Rajapaksa chaired the briefing and explained a broad spectrum of activities being carried out to rehabilitate the LTTE suspect at rehabilitation centers.”

Over 30 Diplomats including US, UK, Australia, Canada, China and representatives from UN, ICRC, WHO, IOM and many other UN agencies participated for the briefing, it added.
