Next year’s budget of the Dodangoda Pradeshiya Sabha was defeated by one vote today for the second time.

When the budget was tabled by Chairman Jagath Kirthi Perera (UPFA), Leader of the Opposition Uditha Ileperuma (UNP) proposed to take a vote. When the vote was taken two ruling party members and the UNP members voted against it. The budget received six votes for and seven votes against. The two ruling party members who voted against it were Dampal Handunge and Cyril Fernando. (S. Madawala)
