The price of a 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder will be reduced by Rs. 250 with effect from midnight, Co-operatives and Internal TradeMinister Johnston Fernando said.
Accordingly, the new price will be Rs. 1896.00.
Last evening, the government also took measures to reduce the prices of a liter of petrol and diesel by Rs. 7 and a liter of kerosene by Rs. 5.

In India 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder is sold at Lankan Rs. 840. We too can bring down the price further.
