Duminda discharged and to be taken abroad for treatment

MP Duminda Silva who was being treated at the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital was taken out of the hospital a while ago to be taken abroad for further treatment, a day after President Mahinda Rajapaksa visited him, hospital sources said. He had been released from the hospital on the request of relatives. It is learnt that he is to be flown to Australia for further treatment.

President Rajapaksa visited Mr. Silva on Monday night. Mr. Silva was seriously injured in the shooting incident in Kolonnawa on October 8. (Kelum Bandara)
