Eight arrested in India for burning effigies of MR
Eight activists of Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam (TPDK) in Coimbatore were arrested for burning the effigy of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa in a protest against his visit to Tirupati, Indian media reported.
Meanwhile tight security arrangements are made in the temple city of Tirupati ahead of the President's visit.
