Sri Lanka Navy arrested eight fishermen who had set sail from Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, while they were fishing in the waters off Katchchathivu, officials said.
The fishermen and their two vessels were taken into custody. The fishermen are currently detained in Talaimannar, the officials added.
Meanwhile, four fishermen who have been reported missing since June 12, were traced near Katchchathivu, where their boat had been stranded due to technical snag in the engine. (outlookindia)
