Green light to increase electricity rates
The Public Utility Commission (PUC) has submitted its recommended proposals to the CEB today granting approval to increase electricity rates with effect from April 20, sources said.

It is not IMF. Someone has to pay the loans for the mega projects. Hope those will bring in dollars in future. Otherwise people are toast and the ones who initiated them will be happily retired probably in another country

NWSDB said that they arranged to reduced cost by increasing productivity and arresting leaks with unauthorised tapping. The result was no water bill hike. Why can't CEB do the same with eradicating corruption inside ( I know their estimation for new connection etc very very high)
