False-teacher remanded

An individual who had allegedly posed as a teacher at a leading school in Nugegoda with false degree certificates was arrested by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau and remanded further after being produced in the Gangodawila Magistrate Court today, police said.

According to police, the suspect had been teaching in the school since 2008 and had produced a false certificate of a degree in Economics from the Kelaniya University.

what is wrong in teaching without a proper degree cert. as long as he/she can deliver the good. there are teachers with degrees with no use to students.

Right! The authorities should go into the results he produced. How his students fared at the exams in the subjects he taught, did any of his students complain about the lack of knowledge on his part etc.
