Father and daughter shot dead

A 32 year-old father and his four-year-old daughter were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Moragahahena, Horana this evening (26), police said.

Police said that the mother of the child was injured in the incident and admitted to Horana Hospital. Initial reports said that the three were returning home at around 8.30 this evening on a push cycle, when a group of armed men opened fire on them.
