Parents should understand, like in the past, children should be disciplined by the Teachers. Sri Lankan children’s behavior is extreme and it is healthy for the society and Parents to give them the opportunity to discipline themselves in the school, they miss that at home due to today’s busy lifestyle.
We used to get beaten badly for what we did during our school days, today we salute those that took extra efforts with love to put us in the right track.
It is very sad what has happened in this situation.

The real truth is that the majority of Sri Lankans have voted and will vote in the future, for thuggery, based on their servile and sycophant attitude, a continuation of over 2000 years of feudalism. Todays thugs are the claiments to tomorrow's feudal crown. The baton of leadership will pass to the more dominent thug. At each change of the baton, the people will rejoice and celebrate their own moral degradation.

I am a teacher by profession. I have been in the teaching profession for the past 14 years. I once happened to advice a student who is the son of a friend of MR's son. This happened in 2010, For the past 2 years Is I suffered with death threats. I complained to the police and every time it became worse. That is because the law is in a child whose father is a friend of the president's son. He has all the powers and the police of Sri Lanka cannot do anything. Think about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Teachers are not always right either and have known to abuse their powers. However compared to today's lot of politicians, I would gladly accept a teachers word against a politico. This instate clearly demonstrates how the politico abused his powers. He should be sacked and never be able to hold public office.

Some of these god damn village teachers try to impose Thalibn discipline in Sri Lanka,But the punishment is too harsh.and the father has no biz to harass the teacher He sounds like a third rate thug.
The teachers must treat the children also with some respect .I studied in a public (private) school and many times I got caned like 6 cuts etc.on my back. I still have the utmost respect for those teachers. Corporal punishment was practiced those days like in British schools. All my class mates grew up to be good citizens.

my parents told me never do anything wrong and if you do something wrong never come and ask us to defend you when the other party comes, and we will be the first to hammer you so that you will never do such a thing again.
I still appreciate that because I know that made me a better person. hope parents learn to bring up their kids in the proper way.
