Fonseka ready to be arrested

General Sarath Fonseka says the government should arrest him if he had attempted to stage a coup as claimed by the authorities and the failure to take him in to custody could only mean that the claims are fabricated.

“The government should arrest me first if I planned to stage a military coup and they have not done so because it is a fabricated story,” the General said speaking family members of former military personnel taken into custody while being employed under him during the presidential elections. (YP)

Looking at some of the comments, some people seem to be blinded by MR & his govt..according to them, MR should get all the credit for the war, and anyone who claims credit is a conspirator. These people accept what the govt says as the biblical truth. Seriously, with ignorance like this.. All the best for us , Wonder if Abrhaim Licolin was refering only to the United States, when he said, " You cant fool all the people all the time"..

What Prabakaran said about us who live in the South is very true: after a month we forget what happened. We won the war mainly because of SF who changed the way the army fought the LTTE. Before SF, the army tried to fight a conventional war and there was no result, only deaths of thousands in the South. SF changed the army's strategy (after 30 years) by deploying smaller combat teams to take down LTTE pockets. This disrupted the entire logistic operation of the enemy. The enemy was being hit from all sides day and night by an invisible foe. The LTTE had no response to this tactic of SF, and eventually lost the war. True, the government and other forces played their part well. But if SF did not 'invent' a new method to fight the enemy, the war might still be going on. So thank you SF for going against the grain and finishing off the cancer in our land. Also, MR, thank you for supporting SF.
