Hacker says SL govt corrupted

A website hacker, known as Davy Jones, who hacked several Sri Lankan government websites in the recent past said ‘he is attacking Sri Lankan websites because he believes the country’s government is corrupted,’ the softpedia.com said.

It also said that the official website of the Sri Lankan High Commission of Maldives (slhcmaldives.com) has been breached by the hacker Davy Jones.
“The website’s entire database, which includes administrator and user details, has been published online,” it said.

This isn’t the first time when Davy Jones targets high-profile websites from Sri Lanka. Over the past weeks, he has breached the sites of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, the website of the country’s Minister of Sports, and others.

At the end of January, Sri Lanka’s National Computer Emergency Readiness Team’s Coordination Center (CERT|CC) revealed that it was concerned about these attacks, but the CERT’s representatives said their ability to look into them was limited as long as the government did not officially request an investigation.
