Video: Ice shower in Diyatalawa
The residents of Diyatalawa and adjoining areas experienced a shower of ice for more than fifteen minutes followed by heavy showers at around 12.45 pm today, reporters said.
The Meteorology Department which confirmed the shower of ice said it was an unusual situation. The Department said this phenomenon could occur during thunder showers and dissolve with the change in temperature. (Palitha Ariyawansa)
