Ja-Ela robbery: businessman dies

The businessman who lost Rs. 7 mn in a robbery last Tuesday (28) at Ja-Ela had died of a heart attack, sources said.

An unidentified armed group arrived in a van robbed Rs. 7 mn belonging to a private firm at the Ekala junction, Ja-Ela last Friday.

He should have taken proper precautions with such a large amount of money. Keeping or transporting such a large amount is simply asking for trouble.

Saying this somewhat a consolation, but does this actually happen...especially in Sri Lanka. Today all our legislatures are involved insome form of criminality directly or indirectly, but are the most happiest of happy devils.

Please do not justify the action of robbers. If poverty can bring people's mind into this state, the entire population living in Mumbai should be robbers. Yet, they are not.............
