did Akashi offer to help or did the GOSL plead him to help SL get out of the mess it has created for itself.
After all the hype of being a sovereign nation, after all SL has realized one cannot survive in isolation.
If you want to be part of the larger picture you need to go along with them and not against them

What do you mean damage control, Mr. Akasi? If the internal issues are managed democratically and with independent judiciary, if the Tamil issue is managed according to internationally accepted norms, if Sri Lanka opens itself for the demand for accountability, its relationship with the world would improve naturally. Please don't try to treat the symptom, just manage the root cause (do you agree that there is one)!

It was Japan who modernised our Rupavahini, this MR follows Sirima's book of foreign policy without any intellecutal capabilites of each countries quality of development assistance. China can never compete with the Quality of Serivce of Japan or Korea. N'chalai power plant could hv not such breakdowns if it went to Japan cos their technology is historically matured. China just develops bricks and stone infrastructures like highways or buildings without any care to the natural environment like BMICH that place is a hot oven on sunny days
