The JVP has lost the Tissamaharama Pradeshiya Sabha, which was previously held by them. The UPFA has obtained the power of the PS with 14,523 votes with seven seats, while the UNP received 8,344 votes with three seats. The JVP has received 7,767 votes with only two seats. So far the JVP has not able to win any council.

The JVP never understood the mindset of the common man and they probably never will. Honesty, and up-rightness are not the only criteria that people vote for.

Congratulations !!! JVP cannot fool people forever. We know how they behaved at the time of war, organised big protests and strikes. Is that the responsibility of a political party? JVP should be eleminated from the universities. Thank you Tissa Voters! You know who protected our nation from terrorism. Aho Devidath Noditi Mokpura.

Agree. JVP and UNP should be forced to disband. Help our great President to develop SL fast by demanding suspension of all opposition parties.

Yes, your point is valued to a certain extent. JVP amongst its bizarre set of wrongdoings, topped the irresponsibility soon after to disperse the democratically elected UNP regime just in two years of office by then. If it was UNP, the war could have been ended in a more agreeable manner while getting country exonerated from the allegation of civilian causalities. Because the life is more valuable than the land.

This is no surprise at all! Over time, JVP has dragged themselves into an irredeemably messy situation through their obviously irrational actions. People have scanty respect for them.

They are highly theoretical in their approach. Not practical at all.
I believe they will be in opposition forever providing entertainment to the nation. It is the hope of all sri lankans that JVP will be eradicated from all universities very soon.
