Comments - Present constitution's last election
Leslie Monday, 24 January 2011 06:10 AM
This may be the last election the UNP is contesting under their present constitution, but if they do not do well this could become the LAST ELECTION they contest. Irrespective of whatever is being said about the UNP, without this party the last of the semblance of democracy that appears to be there in our country will surely disappear.

Dear Gayantha. If constitution change never bring to development of UNP. Suitable leader must need to chair. But no quality man in side the party to lead the UNP. It is very sad as a UNP voter.

The problem with the UNP is NOT the constitution. The problem with the UNP is a the leader. If you dont change the leader, no matter what constitution you will lose.

Very true, Leslie. Amazing how Ranil doesn't realise that there is much more at stake than his ego.
