The Muslim leaders who promoted secularism, except one all others lost. Naraendra Modi was a dynamic leader,He was marketable as a Strong, Kind, humble tea seller,to take India forward, unlike ManMohan Sing a weak leader for a mighty Nation, People wanted a Strong leader, Development of Congress was never seen as a strong selling point, since it was mixed with high level corruption. All this was guided by the free Media with so much democracy, Few leafs for our people on all parties. Truth will prevail and all shame will come out some day...

If only upstanding gentlemen of Sri Lanka step up to politics. Current state of affairs is such that we can't trust anyone to be honest in the current parliament. Everyone is a selfish, cut throat who is looking to make money for themselves rather than help people. It's a case of pot calling the kettle black at present. We are a condemned nation unless something major happens in the political arena..

Sarath Fonseka has put his foot in his mouth again. the BJP won on a wave of Hindu Nationalism or Hindutva. If Sri Lanka were to follow India's example then the Sri Lankan nationalist movement should produce a person who can lead Sri Lanka to a "Buddhist" oriented future.

SF, ok we are ready to do that provided you reveal what is your economic plan, your foreign policy, your cabinet of ministers etc., But do not mention about the old faces of UNP who - same as the MR's - are known very well for nothing but corruption during their 17 year rule.

Now the oppositiön will market this new Indian govt as if we depend on India for everything. Why not if they care about the people ask the govt to reduce the prices of milk powder which has dropped by more than $.1000 s.
