The Local Government reforms bill will be postponed though it would be debate in Parliament today, Minister of Local Government A.L.M Athaulla informed Parliament a short while ago. (YP/KB)

They should pass the bill in parliament and soon after it becomes law, change it back again! Otherwise, these highly paid employees of the PEOPLE of Sri Lanka will not working hard enough for the amount of money paid by the people of this country. How about abolishing the pension to MPs with less than 20 years service like govt service pension of maximum 2/3 of last drawn pay and not full pay?
