Luxury bus service from Kaduwela to Galle

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) announced it would operate a luxury bus service from Kaduwela to Galle along the Southern Expressway from today.

The buses would run every 20 minutes between 4.45 a.m. and 9.00 p.m. everyday. Passengers will be charged Rs.450 from Kaduwela to Galle and vice versa.

The SLTB said the bus service would also be operated on weekends. (AS & LSP)

y operate luxury bus only. y non luxury operate on high way. it alow many people travel with less cost. In my case I dont want ac at every time but I need save time. every people pay tax but few use who can afford. is it reasonable? let allow every category to use it. via DM Android App

I remember I paid Rs 570/= from kottawa to galle on highway luxury bus. So from kaduwela to galle 450/= is some what reasonable compared to the comfortable journey and time. Its a highway an there is additional cost. But the service should start from a main city. Say from Colombo to kaduwela is a hectic travel. So with this development there has to be a bus service from Pettah Bus stand every 20 minutes to kaduwela from low level and high level to connect to the galle service. That bus should take only passengers to galle highway. Otherwise purpose is lost. (Fort to kaduwela normal bus take 2 hrs and highway another 2 hrs so better take galle road and reach galle in 3.5 hrs or 4 hrs at a lessor cost. Ac bus is also there)
