Mahela was in the SriLankan flight
Former Sri Lankan cricket captain Mahela Jayawardena was one of the 267 passengers on board the SriLankan Airlines flight that made an emergency landing in Stanstead Airport, London today, the Daily Mirror online learns.
Sources said that Jayawardena was travelling to London to attend the legendary Test Captains dinner, to be held at Lords on September 24.
Former Sri Lankan captains, Arjuna Ranathunga, Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Jayawardena, and Kumar Sangakkara are scheduled to attend the event.(HF)
