Malaka Silva and Rehan Wijeratne, who were remanded on Monday for allegedly assaulting an army major, were released by the Colombo Fort Magistrate today on bail with two sureties of Rs 1 million each .
Army Major Chandana Pradeep Susena, who is a witness in an assault case, was questioned by Magistrate Kansihka Wijeratne before the two suspects in this case was released on bail. The Magistrate asked major why he recanted on his earlier statement that the two suspects had assaulted him.
The major responded saying he was under shock at the time he made his complaint to the police. The Magistrate asked him how an army intelligence unit officer with more than 15 years of service could suffer from shock. Then the major said it happened because he was bleeding and traumatised at the time.
The Magistrate said even though a settlement had been reached between the two parties, would not be considered as over because of the robbery charge that is still pending.
He directed the police to investigate the matters mentioned in the complaint made by the army major and also check the CCTV footage on the incident before they submitted their report to court on September 24.
The police were also directed to tell court the action that would be taken against the army major.(Lakmal Sooriyagoda)

This Army major must have been discharge from service with immediate effect. He became shocked for a minor incident. If he continue to be in service, it will be a threat to the public security.
He was not only shocked, but we public understood that this army major has no back borne, too.
We understand that SL army has such personnel in the service.

Now that the Major has admitted that these 2 MEN DID NOT ASSAULT HIM they should be considered innocent. In fairness to them i wish the judge will ask the police to play the video of the incident in courts, identify the culprits & order the police to arrest the true culprits so that these 2 can clear their name once & for all. I AM NOT SURE WHETHER OUR LEGAL SYSTEM PROVIDE FOR THIS.

It's an alien who knocked the major down. Not Malaka or Rehan. The CCTV video shows that a UFO was sighted when this incident occured. Malaka is innocent.
As for Duminda's case, another alien was the culprit. So, please do not point fingers at Malaka, Duminda etc, etc, etc They are all totally innocent. We need to catch these aliens invading, killing, raping, torturing our people.Oh! I almost forgot about that Colombo Museum incident which was the work of a bunch of aliens. The CCTV video clearly shows that. SL people are very innocent people they have nothing to do with that rape incident of a Finish woman down hikkaduwa. and that past incident where an Israeli tourist was killed by an alien from outer space. Thus, there is no need to introduce the GALLOWS in SL. We need to fight the aliens!!! Find those UFO's. These aliens have been doing these things to our country ever since we got independence from the British.
