Mano to campaign with TNA

Democratic Peoples Front (DPF) Leader Mano Ganesan had joined the TNA campaign for the local government election and had already addressed several meetings. Mr. Ganesan also hinted out the possibility of his party forming an alliance with the TNA in the future.
“I will not rule out an alliance with the TNA in the future but at the moment we have not got into any alliance,” he said Mr. Ganesan explained that his party played a vital role in the UNF which he said is now defunct.
DPF leader had joined the TNA leaders and had addressed several meetings in Kilinochchi and Jaffna. When contacted by the Daily Mirror he said that his party had accepted the invitation extended to them by the TNA.
“ We are duty bound to support the TNA at this juncture, where the government is using all its resources and its alliance partners in their campaign in the North, “ he said alleging that the government is violating all election laws and norms.
Mr. Ganesan said victory to TNA would mean victory for democracy and justice. “This will be our slogan in the North,” he added. (Yohan Perera)
