Some local and foreign media personnel were drenched as rain water started to pour through the roof of the media box of the R. Premadasa Stadium, where the Sri Lanka and Australia cricket match is being played.

Accordingly, some were seen holding umbrellas inside the media box, which was recently reconstructed.

LOL? nothing funny about it mate! It's a shame for all Sri Lankans. One would guess in the rush to get the stadium finished in time, they cut far too many corners. No excuse though! The contractor should be held responsible and action should be taken!

I was there in B Lower block and when the storm started there were water leaking from the upper stand concrete.Additionally the seats that are fixed in the stands are of poor quality too.Some of them have started to come off the steel bar which its being fixed.Shame SLC

I,ve been there this afternoon for the Sri Lanka Vs Australia
game in block B.. The roof leaked and my cloths got wet.
The officials who maintain this stadium must be thick not to have known about the leaking roof. one may ask the question whether they look after the stadium or themselves. Shame!!!.
