The Colombo High Court today fixed the case of businessman Mohamed Shiyam’s murder for submission and be heard on a day to day basis from August 3 afterwards before a trial at bar.
Both parties involved in the case were asked to make their submissions from August 3.
Former DIG Vass Gunawardena and four other accused, who were in remand custody for allegedly killing the businessman, were granted bail by the High Court in June. The accused were released on a cash bail of Rs. 500,000 with a surety of Rs.1 million each.
