Motion against JJ handed over
A Motion signed by 78 government MPs requesting the House to appoint a select committee to investigate the conduct of UNP MP Jayalath Jayawardane has been handed over to the Speaker short while ago.
Chief Government Whip Dinesh Gunawardena last week said the purpose of the Select Committee is to investigate whether Dr. Jayawardane violated the oath taken by MP’s which says they would not support any act that would promote separatism.
