No concessions because of the IMF

Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe today charged that the government was unable to come out with its plans with regard to salary increments and other concessions in the New Year because of its commitment given to the IMF.

He requested an explanation by the state in Parliament on the matter. Mr. Wickremesinghe said, that the IMF in its statement of conclusion had suggested a shift from tax concessions as the principal tool for attracting investment. (YP)

Obviously that why IMF is quite happy with us, we will always abide by their conditions, otherwise No way to survive.
