No new casino licences - Govt

The government said that it would never issue new license to open betting centers in the country and already taken measures to shift all betting centers in the Colombo city into a special betting zone, the state owned SLBC said.

Quoting Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, the SLBC also said that the government has focused attention to move all these centers to a one special zone. A number of large scale foreign investors are ready to invest in various entertainment activities in Colombo as peace and political stability prevail in the country at present.
