A secret ballot will be held to select the new leaders of the UNP only if any one officially request to contest for these posts, UNP Gampaha District MP Joseph Michael Perera said

Mr. Perera told a news conference today that no one had officially come forward to contest for the leadership or any other posts till now. (YP)

Sajith should be the leader of the party and Dayasiri should get a post in the executive committee.If RW continues to be the leader,UNP will have no chances of coming to power even after MR:s period.
