The Ceylon Electricity Board said today that despite many areas experiencing uninformed power cuts today, there would be no uninformed power cuts in the future.

The CEB further said that a special committee had been appointed to identify areas in which to impose power cuts in the future and that all necessary measures had been taken to resume operations in the two affected power stations.

Nonsense! I experience an unannounced power almost everyday--sometimes several times. Maybe they don't last long, but it is enough to upset computer work.

There was a power cut in Wellampitiya, when I called LECO they said that they don't even know the duration of power cut.

Stupid planning and no insight of the CEB.
This has been the problem for SL for decades..Why cant even the mass population realize the short sited and stupidity of government officials..
SL has the highest per unit Electricity cost in South Asia..Staggering..

yea right will never inform public.. if informed will do something totally different for it like .. Power cut was only for 2 hours a day but in Boralesgamuwa the power cut yesterday was for 3hours and 15 minutes form 3:30PM till 6:45PM agin in the night from 9:15PM till 9;45 for the day 3:45 hours .. never do the things they say.. end of the day public suffer from more than 2 hours power cut.
