Nurses at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital are on strike, the Government Nursing Officers Association (GNOA) said. The Association maintained that the nurse will be on strike until the Health Ministry withdraws the letter issued asking all hospitals for the list of nurses who participated in the walk out held on Monday (October 25) and the reason for their participation. Is the act of the nursing staff against democracy or a prohibited act?. It's high time for those who seem to be blind on these issues, EVEN now to realize how democracy reigns in the country. where would this path take us to?

This JVP attitude to strike whenever they have issues with one or the other leaving poor people's lives at risk has to stop. If the people are not prepared to give priority to people's lives, these jobs should not be for them. Basically, the trade unionism has to be banned from jobs that deal with people's lives directly. There are other ways of sorting problems out.

You are correct, Further it should be banned in all sectors since each department is so much interconnected in modern day, so that total disarray is imminent one is defunct. If the striking day is struck off from their leaves It would drastically be reduced.

Dont blame government workers, and hospital staffs, you guys may be earning good money and planing to buy new car ... but these staffs are asking for a salary increment maybe ... how can they server others with financial problems in their mind and home ?
