One person was reportedly killed in Kalawana DS Division and Rambuka GN Division due to a cutting failure while a person is missing in Elapathana after drowning due to heavy rain affecting the Elapathana area, the Disaster Management Center reported.

Several areas in the Kalutara District including Bulathsinghala–Diyakaduwa road, Paragoda, Molkawa, Hindakaramulla and low-lying areas were inundated and impassable due to opening of 03 sluice gates of the Kukuleganga in the Bulathsinghala DS Division, the Disaster Management Center said.
